James is the Founder and Partner of James L. Schwartz & Associates. His areas of concentration are Real Estate, Securities, Commodity Futures, and general Corporate. He is also extensively involved in both transactional and litigation matters.
In 2022, he became Chair of the Senior Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. James works with others in leading senior attorney members of the Division. James is also the Chair of Voice of Experience.

Bob Louis is a partner in the Estate Planning and Administration Practice. He has many years of experience in assisting clients in preserving and passing on wealth and business ownership across the generations. In this work, he helps clients to develop family business succession plans, often involving benefit planning. He also assists with estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts and other estate planning documents, to further the process of wealth preservation and transfer, and to deal with the varying interests and needs of family members. A significant part of Bob's practice focuses on retirement plans, executive compensation, employee benefits, and tax and estate planning for those kinds of benefits. He advises clients on the methods of planning for a happy and rewarding retirement. Based on more than 40 years of experience with employee benefits and tax planning, Bob is a skilled retirement coach.

He is a frequent lecturer and writer on these topics to various groups, and regularly presents at Pennsylvania Bar Institute programs.

Judge Herbert B. Dixon, Jr. is a senior judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He retired from full-time status in 2015 after thirty years of service. He was appointed to successive 15-year terms - first by President Ronald Reagan and subsequently by President William Clinton.

Judge Dixon is a former member of the ABA Board of Governors, the House of Delegates, and the Techshow Planning Board. He is a former chair of both the National Conference of State Trial Judges and the ABA Standing Committee on the American Judicial System. Judge Dixon serves on the ABA Journal Board of Editors, The Judges’ Journal Editorial Board, and is chair the Judicial Division Book Editorial Board.

While in active service with the Superior Court, Judge Dixon served as presiding judge of both the Civil Division and the Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division of Superior Court and as co-chair of the Strategic Planning Leadership Council for the D.C. Courts, the entity charged with writing the strategic plan for the District of Columbia Courts and evaluating progress in achieving the goals and objectives of the plan. In addition, he served as chair of Superior Court’s Electronic Filing Pilot Project, which received national recognition for its success, and oversaw implementation of the Superior Court’s technology-enhanced courtroom project.

Judge Dixon is the technology columnist for The Judges’ Journal magazine and senior judicial adviser to the Center for Legal and Court Technology (formerly the Courtroom 21 Project), an initiative of the Marshall-Wythe Law School at the College of William & Mary and the National Center for State Courts.

Judge Dixon has received numerous awards, including the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Pursuit of Justice Award, for lawyers and judges who have shown outstanding merit and who excel in providing access to justice for all; the William R. McMahon Award by the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges, for leadership in the field of technology in the courts; and introduction into the Washington Bar Association’s Hall of Fame. Most recently, Judge Dixon was named the 2019 Judicial Honoree of the Year by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.

Judge Dixon received his J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Howard University. He is married to Phoebe Boykins Dixon. They have two adult children, both of whom are Ph.D. engineers.

Deirdre M.W. Lok, Esq. is the Assistant Director and General Counsel for The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Justice at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale. She manages the operations of the shelter, including providing legal services to victims in Supreme Court, Housing Court and Family Court.

An Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Lok directs the law school’s HELP (Helping Elders through Litigation and Policy) Clinic. She is a frequent speaker on the issue of elder abuse and the law, and has guest lectured at Penn State Dickinson School of Law, Cardozo Law School, Touro Law, Hofstra Law School and CUNY Law School and has provided training to attorney’s through the New York State’s Judicial Institute, the Queens Bar Association, and the Bronx Bar Association.

Ms. Lok is appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio to the Age-Friendly NYC Commission, is chair of the American Bar Association’s Senior Lawyer’s Division, Elder Abuse Prevention Committee, and served as Chair of the Policy and Procedure Subcommittee of the New York State Committee on Elder Justice.

Prior to joining The Weinberg Center, she was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Oahu, Hawaii and an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office where she focused on domestic violence cases. She is the recipient of the New York Law Journal 2017 General Counsel Impact Award.

Jeffrey Allen is the principal in the Graves & Allen law firm in Oakland, California, where he has practiced since 1973. He is active in the American Bar Association (particularly in the GPSolo and Senior Lawyers Divisions), the California State Bar Association, and the Alameda County Bar Association. He is Editor-in-Chief Emeritus and Senior Technology Editor of GPSolo magazine and the GPSolo eReport and continues to serve as a member of both magazines’ Editorial Boards. He also serves as an editor and the technology columnist for Experience magazine.

A frequent speaker on technology topics, he is a former member of the ABA Standing Committee on Information Technology and the Board of Editors of the ABA Journal. Recently, he coauthored (with Ashley Hallene) Technology Solutions for Today’s Lawyer and iPad for Lawyers: The Tools You Need at Your Fingertips. In addition to being licensed as an attorney in California, he has been admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is on the faculty of California State University of the East Bay.
