Description

Every organization has HR policies that are in place to help protect the company and its employees, and having a competent drug and alcohol policy is a must for any organization, large or small. Most corporations have zero-tolerance policies for drugs and alcohol, but with many US states now legally prescribing marijuana for medical use, organizations are beginning to reassess their drug testing policies to keep up with the new laws while ensuring fairness to all employees, regardless of the medications they may be prescribed.

In this session, we’ll discuss how GCs and HR executives are teaming up to reevaluate employee drug testing policies, and how to find the right balance between zero-tolerance and reasonable accommodation.

This program was recorded as part of ALM and Corporate Counsel's 30th Annual General Counsel Conference on September 26th, 2018.
