Bill Shin

Bill Shin is Assistant General Counsel of Wesco Distribution, Inc., a Fortune 250 global distributor of network, security and utility power solutions. In this role, he leads Wesco’s North American labor and employment practice area.

Prior to Wesco, he was with Littler Mendelson’s Chicago office and also spent six years at Benesch Friedlander’s Cleveland office where he chaired the firm’s diversity committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and a law degree from Notre Dame Law School where he also served as executive editor of the Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy.

Amy Gaylord

With over 25 years of experience, Amy Moor Gaylord focuses her practice on traditional labor matters and employment litigation for both public and private sector employers with an emphasis on National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, union organizing drives, NLRB-conducted elections, arbitration cases, contract negotiations, and employment discrimination matters. She has experience counseling clients in various industries, including higher education, not-for-profit, public safety (fire/rescue, police, 911 emergency dispatch centers), hospitality, and entertainment, among others.

Amy has served as lead negotiator in hundreds of collective bargaining negotiations in both the public and private sectors. She frequently represents employers in state and federal court, including class action and TRO/preliminary injunction proceedings, in arbitrations, and before administrative agencies. In addition, she counsels clients regarding union avoidance, workplace harassment, and compliance with a variety of employment-related statutes, including Title VII, the NLRA, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, and the FLSA.

Amy previously worked as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Peoria, Illinois.

Sheila Frederick

Sheila Frederick is Associate General Counsel, Labor and Employment Law at United Airlines, Inc. In this role, she provides legal advice in all aspects of labor and employment law for United’s approximately 65,000 domestic employees. She also manages a team that is responsible for consulting, training, managing litigation and compliance on all aspects of labor and employment law.

Prior to working at United, Sheila spent six years at Winston & Strawn LLP in the Labor and Employment practice group. Prior to attending law school, she worked at Abbott Laboratories in the Human Resources Professional Development Program.

Sheila earned both her Juris Doctor and her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.

Rachel Atterberry is Senior Counsel – Labor & Employment for Beam Suntory. In her role, she advises on global employment and labor issues as well as litigation matters. Rachel has over 15 years of legal experience and served as the Labor & Employment Practice Group Chair at Freeborn & Peters, LLP before joining Beam Suntory. She lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband, Mark Vaughan, and their two children. In addition to her role with CHAT, Rachel is a committed parent volunteer for The Academy at St. Joan of Arc.

Tom?s manages the EL&B team, which advises stakeholders regarding global laws and regulations pertinent to the company’s employment lifecycle – from compensation and recruitment to separation. His primary stakeholder partners include the Executive and Management teams, Chief Human Resources Management, Procurement, Finance and Business Technology.
