Markus Schuberth

Dr. Ernst-Markus Schuberth is a Partner, Head of Corporate, M&A Group at CMS Germany. For more than 20 years, Ernst-Markus has been advising companies on M&A/private equity transactions and providing ongoing corporate law advice, mostly in an international context. His clients include large international groups as well as business leaders and financial institutions. Over many years of transaction advisory work, Ernst-Markus has gained special chemical, mechanical engineering, and financial sector expertise. He also heads the CMS India Desk.

Ernst-Markus started his legal career with Baker & McKenzie in 1995 and became a Partner in 2000. He joined CMS in 2004.

He is noted for his expertise on international transactions including AkzoNobel on the sale of the European construction chemistry division; Indian company NRB Bearings Limited on its market entry in Germany and Swedish company Addnode AB on the acquisition of Transcat PLM GmbH.

Prior to joining TIAA in 2017, Bob was Executive Counsel, M&A at General Electric. Bob is a member of the NYC Bar Association’s Committee on Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Control Contests, and is active in various community organizations in Westport, Connecticut.
