I'm a business and legal journalist with reporting experience primarily in health care and environmental law.

Currently, I'm the corporate counsel reporter at the Daily Journal, the largest legal news provider in California. I interview chief legal officers throughout the state at Fortune 500 companies, midsize companies and startups. I've profiled the top lawyers at Jamba Juice, On Assignment, Lucky Group and Pepperdine University. Previously, I reported on general news and health care law with stories on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance amid the age of data breaches and the rise in practices trying alternative business models as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

I started my career at the Redding Record Searchlight as a multimedia features reporter with a focus on environmental business and community health. From there, I returned home to Sacramento and freelanced for all the major publications in the capital region. I also was a temp health reporter for the Seattle Times, writing a few stories on programs geared toward race-based health disparities.

Based in Los Angeles, I enjoy networking with other media professionals.
