Cryptocurrency, AI, IoT, Blockchain are more than just buzzwords, these technologies will impact the way we do business in the legal field and beyond. This session will define the technologies disrupting the industry, their capabilities, and the common misconceptions around their application.

Cass Sanford

Cass Sanford is OTC Markets Group’s Associate General Counsel. Ms. Sanford furthers the company’s regulatory and policy initiatives and supports the firm’s overall mission to facilitate small company capital formation and create better informed, more efficient marketplaces.

Prior to joining OTC Markets Group, Ms. Sanford represented issuers, broker-dealers and individuals in securities litigation, financing and various corporate and regulatory matters.

Ms. Sanford earned her JD from Hofstra University School of Law and received her BA from Mount Holyoke College.

Emily Frascaroli

Managing Counsel, Product Litigation Group
Ford Motor Company

Emily Frascaroli is Managing Counsel of the Product Litigation Group for Ford Motor Company, including the Product Litigation, Asbestos, and Discovery teams. She also advises globally on automotive safety, regulatory, and product liability issues, including a focus on autonomous vehicles and mobility. She has extensive experience handling complex product litigation cases, regulatory matters with NHTSA and other governmental entities, and product defect investigations. She is also co-chair of the Legal and Insurance Working Group of MCity at the University of Michigan, and a lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School where she teaches a class about the legal issues involved with autonomous vehicles. In 2017, she was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Council on Future Mobility, and in 2019 she was appointed by Governor John Kasich to the DriveOhio Expert Advisory Board.

She earned her JD, cum laude, from Wayne State University and was an editor of the Wayne Law Review. She received her BS in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California and her MEng in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan. Prior to practicing law, she worked in engineering at both Ford and NASA.

Celeste Koeleveld

Celeste Koeleveld, a partner in Clifford Chance's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, has over 25 years of experience in government enforcement, regulatory and civil litigation matters that span federal, state and local government in the United States. Celeste represents clients, both corporates and individuals, with regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and all phases of civil, criminal and regulatory litigation, from inception through the appellate process. Over the course of her career, she has held senior positions in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) and the New York City Law Department.

Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Celeste served on the executive committee of DFS, joining in 2016 as General Counsel, and ultimately serving as Deputy Superintendent and Special Counsel. In addition to her role at DFS, Celeste previously served for 16 years in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, rising to serve as the Chief of the Criminal Division. Prior to joining DFS, Celeste served for eight years as Executive Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department.

Celeste earned her JD from Columbia University School of Law and her BA from Harvard University. Celeste is a member of the New York Bar, and she joined the New York office of Clifford Chance in 2018.
