Jason Hollander

Jason Hollander is a legal and compliance executive with extensive in-house and law firm experience. He is Vice President, Associate General Counsel for Diebold, Inc., a $5 billion publicly traded company and a global leader for connected commerce in the financial and retail industries with 25,000 employees and a presence in 130 countries. As the Associate General Counsel, Jason is responsible the company’s global litigation and disputes, which include IP, securities, tax, employment, contract, product liability and insurance related matters.

In addition, he is responsible for in-house department administration functions including outside counsel management and department budgeting and forecasting. Jason is a member of the company’s Ethics Committee, which conducts investigations into allegations of misconduct and illegal activity. Jason was previously Chief Compliance Office for Diebold, where he developed and implemented the company’s global ethics and compliance program.

Jason currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Cryptera A/S, a world leader in secure payment solutions headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is an active volunteer for several Ohio non-profit organizations and serves on the Board of North Coast Community Homes and The Temple Tifereth-Israel.


John Mellen

Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation & Regulatory Matters

John Mellen was appointed Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation & Regulatory Matters, in June, 2010. He is located in Ford World Headquarters and reports to Bradley Gayton, Vice President and General Counsel. In his present role, John manages the Company’s global litigation, in areas including product liability, commercial disputes, asbestos, employment, customs, antitrust, environment, insurance and intellectual property.

In addition, he and his team serve as legal counsel to the Company with respect to safety and environmental regulatory compliance, labor and employment, occupational health and safety and insurance. He represents the Company in matters pending before a variety of state and federal governmental entities. John joined the Company’s Office of the General Counsel in 1981. He spent approximately 10 years in a variety of non-litigation positions, advising on environmental and fuel economy issues, providing antitrust counsel in a series of acquisitions and divestitures and serving as legal advisor to Lincoln Mercury on marketing and franchising issues.

Since 1992, he has moved through a series of positions within the OGC’s litigation function. He played a key role in the Company’s response to the tragic Rouge Powerhouse explosion and the Firestone tire crisis.

A native of Long Island, New York, John holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law. He and his wife, Ann Marie, reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and have two adult children
