Panelist Biographies

Scott William Dibbs

Shareholder
Hill Ward Henderson

Scott Dibbs is a Shareholder and leads the firm's Commercial Leasing Group. He is also a member of the firm's Real Estate Group and Corporate and Tax Group.

Scott's practice primarily involves commercial leasing, and he has extensive experience representing national and regional landlords and tenants in a wide range of office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use lease transactions. Scott currently serves as Chair of the Leasing Group of the ABA's Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, and he previously served as Chair of the Office Leasing Committee within the Leasing Group. Scott is a frequent lecturer and author on various commercial leasing topics.

Scott recently completed a six year term serving on the Board of Trustees at St. Mary's Episcopal Day School in Tampa. For many years, Scott has also been very active in fundraising for The American Cancer Society's annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.


Ruth A. Schoenmeyer

Ruth A. Schoenmeyer joined Pircher, Nichols & Meeks in 2014, and is a partner in the firm's Chicago office. The focus of Ruth's practice is retail leasing, but she also has extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants in office and industrial lease transactions.

Ruth frequently speaks and writes about a variety of leasing issues. Recent topics have included exclusives (workshop for International Council of Shopping Centers), SNDAs and estoppels (seminar for Practising Law Institute), and co-tenant lawsuits (article for Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy).

Mark A. Senn, Esq. was graduated with honors from Stanford University in 1969 and received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1972. He regularly participates in the "Modern Real Estate Transactions" and "Commercial Real Estate Leases" programs presented by ALI-ABA. He has spoken throughout the country for the Practicing Law Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, American Conference Institute, CLE International, and many state continuing legal education programs.

Mr. Senn is the author of Commercial Real Estate Leases: Preparation, Negotiation, and Forms (3d ed.), and editor of State-by-State Guide to Commercial Real Estate Leases and Commercial Real Estate Transactions Handbook (3d ed.). His published articles have concerned a variety of topics including the effect of the Black Death on English life and law, the history of usury, and non-recourse carve-outs.

He is a member of the board of advisors of Commercial Lease Law Insider and Commercial Tenant's Lease Insider, a member of the advisory board of the Georgetown Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute, a former member of the Board of Governors of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a member of the Panel of Commercial Arbitrators - American Arbitration Association, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and the International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers.
