Panelist Biographies

Alexander D. Rosati

Senior Counsel
Harris Beach PLLC

Alexander D. Rosati is senior counsel at Harris Beach and practices with the Cybersecurity Protection and Response, Insurance Coverage, E-Discovery (e-infosm), and Mass Torts and Industry-Wide Litigation Practice Groups. He is also a member of HB Solutions Data Privacy and Cybersecurity consulting. He focuses on insurance/insurance claims consulting, coverage litigation and insurance regulation.

Prior to joining Harris Beach, Mr. Rosati was senior vice president and board member of American International Reinsurance Company, Ltd. where he led casualty underwriting operations of AIG in Bermuda with primary responsibility for multiple product lines including cybersecurity, casualty, contaminated products recall, healthcare, marine P&I, and punitive wrap policies. Prior to that position, Mr. Rosati served as division counsel for AIG and was a senior lawyer for AIG Cat Excess Liability’s global, offshore underwriting operations, and for the AIG brokerage in Bermuda, for both casualty and financial lines (D&O, E&O and EPL) lines of business. This responsibility also encompassed a role as the senior legal officer for Chartis Excess Limited, an EU-based AIG subsidiary with operations in London with significant contacts with the Lloyd’s market as well as markets in Europe and AsiaPac (including China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore). His responsibilities included legal oversight for the global underwriting/business operations and claims operations of AIG’s Cat Excess Liability Division, drafting of policy forms and other client-facing documents, as well as substantive participation in the underwriting process for all product lines.

Tad Mielnicki is a partner with AAG. Mr. Mielnicki is an experienced security advisor with a strong history of working with governments and private companies to solve their toughest strategic, operational and technological challenges. He has over 12 years of experience in the U.S. national security community, government policy and high technology sectors. In the national security space he focused on improvised explosive devices, counterterrorism, chemical weapons and technology acquisition at JIEDDO among others. In the private sector, Mr. Mielnicki co-founded and served as the Chief Strategy Officer of a high technology consulting firm focusing on business development and light weight systems integration for the U.S. national security apparatus. In addition to his responsibilities crafting executable strategies for client companies, he also led the data security, internet of things and field deployable practice areas.
